Newbury school board says no BGH

Canadian farmers fighting the approval of a controversial
growth-enhancing drug for dairy cattle got a boost from a group
in the United States, the only industrialized country to have
approved the drug.
The American Centre for Technology Assessment has filed a legal petition
asking the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to take the drug off the market.
The department has 180 days to act before the group can file a legal suit.
"The Americans' challenge to their government's licence of (the drug) is
welcome news for Canadian groups," said Peter Dowling, a Howe Island
dairy farmer fighting to block its approval in Canada.....
